# Forward Operating Base (FOB

Listed below is a general list of things to consider when building a FOB.

| Required items include:                                   |

| Secure perimeter, i.e. Hescos and Barbed Wire             |
| Guard Towers and Pillboxes allowing for 360 field of view |
| A fortified Entry Controlled Point (ECP)                  |
| Helicopter Landing Zone (HLZ)                             |
| Bunker for IDF and C2                                     |
| Vehicle Motor Pool                                        |
| Medical and Logistics Supply Point                        |
| Detainee Holding Area                                     |

| Optional areas may include:     |

| Repair, Refuel, Rearm Location  |
| Mortar Pit or M119 Howitzer pad |
